 Feedback takes a few minutes

 

 

When asked for feedback, after showing a property to a

prospective buyer, I responded with the following:

 

"Thank you for allowing me to show this well cared for home. Your sellers were a delight and very welcoming with their note on the door, lights on and waiting outside with the dog. Sorry it is just not the right house for this buyer. Would love to work with you and these sellers. All the best."

 

 

This is the note I received from the listing agent.

Feedback only take a few minutes, and your note was very professional. As the listing agent, I would want to know why  the house wasn't a good fit. Did the house show well, did it have the amenities your buyer was looking for, was it clean, dated, etc? The sellers value this kind of feedback in my market.

Margaret indeed too many people lost their manners... no business cards left... no feedback....just plain rude...I agree it takes virtually no time to give feedback...Endre

That's so nice of your. I admit that I don't often respond, usually it's only if it's really bad and I think they should know to make corrections...but I guess that's helpful also.

It doesn't take long at all and is so beneficial for the listing agent to provide to their Sellers.  Everyone should do it everytime, but it just doesn't happen.

Debbie and I seem to have the same responses. I know that's a curse of having a hot market with more buyers than sellers. The good news is that by the time I get the feedback, I usually have at least one offer, so the sellers really don't care.
