Kimo Stowell is the King of Halloween! Hard to believe it’s time for the 5th Annual Halloween Post Contest! There are so many categories my head is swimming but I’m determined to make sure I make the Haunted Masquerade and Costume Ball this year.
My inspiration came from a couple of thoughts twirling and whirling around in my mind. It’s October which is Breast Cancer Awareness so we are definitely thinking pink! Many of our colleagues have been struck with this dreaded disease and been down the road conquering their trials and tribulations, and some more than once. Reading the blog written by the founder of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Janelle Hail, I realized why we take this month to raise awareness of this disease and help those affected.
Recently, my granddaughter, Beautiful Beckett and I were looking through the photos we took last winter when we went to Zilker Park for the annual Winter Faerie Tea Party. Bingo!! Her pink fairy costume I found for her was an inspiration for me to design my very own pink attire. We had so much fun I thought why not combine the fun we had with the Fairies and the need for so many angels to help get the word out, to help, donate and observe October Breast Cancer Awareness.
Fairies are much like angels because they are inter-dimensional beings who live in a realm between realms. Fairies are very much real spiritual beings, just as angels are real spiritual beings.
Angels are spiritual beings whose purpose revolves around carrying out the Divine and serving humanity. Fairies, however, find their roles revolve around serving, take care and nurturing the earth. I'd say these two make a good blend for my Halloween costume!
Tada….I’m making my grand entrance in my pink, sparkly Faerie costume! Who will be walking with me to the fabulous Masquerade and Costume Ball?
