If you tried describing an upside-down house, most people would think the mortgage was upside down, underwater, or in trouble.
Searching for upside-down dwellings, here are a few that showed up.
When I think of this term describing a house, it is the main level for the owner's suite, kitchen, other essential rooms, all on the same level.
And the additional bedrooms and recreation room on the lower level. But this lower level is above ground. An example is 8978 Furrow Ave and the few Deck Houses that I have represented over the years like...

An adult home, a grown-up home, a forever home...yep, an upside-down house is what I am describing.
Maybe for empty nesters, who want the house to be unique just for them. When the company, family, and friends visit, they still have privacy because everyone else goes to the lower but above ground level.
This area may have three or more bedrooms, a bath, it's own entry, and completely away from the owner's living areas.
An upside-down Deck House will be a unique
listing in the next two weeks.
Stay tuned for photos.
