LOVE
I think it's just incredible that anyone loves me... or you... or anyone other than themselves for that matter. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?
Even if you are not "churched" what was the very first thing you were taught about God as a child? God is love.
Well now we've grown up and we have to rationalize that there must be more to it. We must have to earn it. We must have to clean up our act to be lovable.
WRONG
We can love because we were created by God who is love and he created us in His image. Quit trying to be the smartest person in the room when it comes to theology and just remember what you want your children or grandchildren to know, God is LOVE and we can love others (our neighbors) because we are loved.
The next time you are down in the dumps and feeling unloved or unlovable just remember that you were created by Love and nothing you can do will stop him from loving you. Because we are loved by Him we can love others and they can love us... it's our nature to love.
This Thanksgiving I want to thank God that he loves me and that he has surrounded me with people who love me... even though I am me. You may not love me but you put up with me and I am thankful for that as well.
