We have a little experiment that we want to try with the ActiveRain Community!
Google has been making a huge push towards the idea of "Author Authority" when it comes to SEO. What this means is that Google doesn't simply want to serve up search results based on a person using the right keywords and other traditional SEO factors. Instead, Google wants to know if the author is an important person in the industry that people should listen to.
High Author Authority with Google will make your ActiveRain blog posts and other content rank higher in the search results.
To help ActiveRain members build up their Google Author Authority, we are launching an ActiveRain Media Team. This team will be taught how to leverage data gathered from the ActiveRain community to get printed in local media sources (newspapers, blog, and websites).
How Does It Work?
As we publish real estate infographics, survey data, and other consumer content, members of our ActiveRain Media Team will receive:
- Training on how to reach out to local media contacts
- Templated press releases
- Graphics and embed codes to make our data YOUR data
- Recognition on ActiveRain as you find success!
The end goal... when the local newspaper publishes our data, the focus of the story is on YOU as a real estate professional, not on ActiveRain. Your presence in the local market will blossom and your Google Authority can grow dramatically.
Are You Up to the Challenge?
There is not a fee to join this program. We'll teach you how to do it and learn together through the process. All we ask is that you:
- Commit to sending a few press releases as we publish new consumer-facing content (every 1-2 months)
- Report back to us when you get published
- Provide feedback on the project so we can all grow together
Join the ActiveRain Media Team and we'll add you to an exclusive list of people who find out about our upcoming data releases and get bonus resources not available to the general membership on ActiveRain.
Let's build up your Google Author Authority using ActiveRain!
