After 16 years of flying the friendly skies of TWA across the country and overseas, I landed in Sarasota, Florida. Over thirty years later, I cannot imagine living anywhere else. Sunny weather, white sandy beaches and the inviting waters of both the bay and the Gulf of Mexico are the most obvious reasons to love this place. When you add in all the other attributes, how could you ever leave? Every morning I am greeted at my front door by a troop of woodstorks waiting for chicken dogs.
I am outgoing, enthusiastic about real estate and believe that having fun while you work is what keeps you motivated. I am very direct and believe that clear communication is essential in any relationship. I am an avid reader, admit that forensic novels are my downfall but make sure to throw in a few biographies and current event books into the mix. "Atlas Shrugged" is my all time favorite novel and "The Usual Suspects" is high on my movie list.
My husband and I are fortunate to live on a canal and we can be in the Sarasota Bay in about eight minutes. We enjoy slow cruises to the north end of Longboat Key where we anchor out and enjoy the sandbar and the sunsets. We attend as many of the exciting events, shows, plays and concerts as we can find time for and love the variety of entertainment that Sarasota has to offer. Real Estate sales has been my profession for over 12 and in addition to my Broker's License, I have achieved the designations of Graduate of the Realtor Institute, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist Certification and Senior Real Estate Specialist. Although these designations do not rival the experience earned through the hundreds of successful transactions I have closed, education is a priority for me and I want to be able to represent you to the best of my ability.
Hours of homework enable me to show buyers only the properties that meet their demands and I excel at pricing homes for sellers at a number that maximizes their profit and sells in a short period of time.
I have achieved the GRI status which sets me apart from agents who have not taken this strenuous 3 part course that goes much deeper into the practice of real estate sales than the exam ever could. Continuing education courses are a must for me because Real Estate is ever changing and I want to change with it.
Every morning starts with a cup of coffee and the computer open to the pages of the MLS that show me every property that has come on the market, gone pending or sold from the day before. I then call any clients who may be affected by the happenings to either show them a new listing, adjust the price on the home they are trying to sell or let them know that a home I had suggested was a good buy has just been sold.
Much of my success has been based on the fact that although there are physical boundaries for the properties I sell, the focus is on just all price ranges. I laughingly say that I sell everything from dog houses to penthouses and everything in between. This flexibility and the knowledge of all segments of the market area have made me the expert in many neighborhoods. I am as enthusiastic showing young, first-time buyers a condo as working with the more affluent clients looking on Longboat Key.
