I got into real estate as an investor; I never set out to do sales. I figured I’d save myself future commissions by having my license. The past 6 years of doing it I've realized how important it is to have representation from someone you trust. I've seen a ton of misinformation and myths in the industry. I always wanted to have a different type of brokerage, one that’s not focused on sales alone because that’s not where people need the help. Almost all real estate info is available online and every agent has access to the same multiple listing services. It’s more than running numbers and comparables to see what things are worth. It’s helping and guiding people to make one of their bigger financial decisions in their lifetime and keeping them focused on what they want and where they want to be. It’s the insight of having walked through 1000’s of houses and having a feeling for things I couldn’t put into concrete words. It’s protecting them from the roller coaster ride of the current real estate market by taking the brunt of the worrying and trying not to let things fall apart at any given moment. And then it’s everything that comes after that. There’s no handbook to refer to when you buy a home and every step after that there’s questions and concerns.

That’s one of the reasons I hate the word sales because I’ve never sold anyone anything. I’ve brokered deals for many people, guided them to the properties they liked and gave them everything possible to make a decision that worked for them. That’s why it was always hard to say I was a real estate salesperson because there are so many people with bad experiences from bad sales agents.

The house sale is just the beginning, I wanted a company that was going to be focused on helping good people have someone they can trust to put their best interests ahead of their own. Tax issues, escrow problems, neighbors, mortgage questions, and anything that follows. I always wanted to keep the flexibility to choose who I work with, because you end up spending a lot of time together. So thank you to all my past clients who helped me realized the type of company I wanted to have and got me where I needed to be.
