In his current position as Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Laurex Group, Inc., Alex Johnson oversees the growth of the various operations related to real estate investment coaching, real estate brokerage, real estate investment and capital lending. Alex brings a family legacy of more than 30 years in real estate investing. He offers diversity in transactions with motels, apartments, duplexes, rental homes, land, oil leases and rehabilitating property. Alex holds both a Texas real estate license and mortgage lending license.

After more than 14 years in management and sales for PepsiCo, Nortel Networks and Lucent Technologies, Alex founded Laurex Investment Coaching in an effort to reduce his time on the road and help others supplement their income. Alex was one of 12 employees worldwide to be awarded the prestigious Leader's Council award at Lucent Technologies as a result of his success as a Director of Sales. Alex holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

Alex is a member of the MetroTex Association of Realtors, North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Dallas/Fort Worth Association of Mortgage Brokers (DFWAMB), Financial Planning Association (FPA), Rotary International and Toastmasters International. Alex is also a participant in the Leadership Program for the MetroTex Association of Realtors.

An active member of the community, Alex currently serves on the Board of Directors for CITY House Youth Shelter. He serves the City of Plano as a Commissioner for Cultural Affairs and serves on the Executive Board for Leadership Plano and Plano Rotary Club. Alex also supports the Plano ISD as a member of the Jasper High School SBIC Advisory Committee. He previously has held board positions with The Boys & Girls Club of Collin County, Plano Community Forum as well as a member of the City of Plano's Public Art Committee. He has also participated in Plano ISD's Educator Internship program and is a Leadership Plano graduate of class 21.

Alex is active in the Plano Chamber of Commerce and has contributed as a member of the Ambassadors Club, Small Business Development Committee, Minority Enterprise Development Committee and Fourth of July Committee. In 2004, he was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow for Rotary International. In 2003, he was honored by the Plano Chamber of Commerce as Ambassador of the Year and Eagle Award Winner. In 2002, he was honored as a Certified Toast Master (CTM) by Rotary International. Alex has also been awarded a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts.

Alex has also served his church, Grace Outreach Center, as a leader in the Newly Married Couples Group and Men's Group. He has also been a part of the ministries for the Nursery, Children's Church, and Greeter Team. Alex is also a graduate of the Grace School of Ministry Bible School. He is also blessed with his wife and daughter.
