I started my career in real estate back in 1979. My  husband Bal  Maraj and two small children had just relocated into the area from New York, where I worked as a Banker for over 9 yrs.  Banker's hours are not the same here, so I had to find more flexible hours.  I started working for a  R.E. Broker who had several companies with an escrow company. The Broker encouraged me to get my real estate license because he thought that my experience in the banking industry would be very beneficial in real estate.   Furthermore, he saw I enjoy talking to anyone that had a question or problem.  He said I was a problem solver, full of enthuasiam and compassion, with a desire to help others.  I am a very positive and self movitaved person.  I learned this the hard way, lost my parents at the age of 12.  I was fortunate to be in America and took every opportunity that benifited  my life. I started with Red Carpet Real Estate. I began knocking on doors and found after  talking to FSBO, that is what I was going to do.  My Broker was right...I had the right "Magic" and Enthusiam to be a Realtor. I quickly became a top agent in my office and in the area. I recieved awards from Red Carpet for Top Listing Agent, Top Sales Agent and Top Overall Agent for 13 months in a row. I contiunued for several years selling real estate then I began buying investment properties of mine own. My husband and I began developing our own investment properties. We started with units and branched out to small offfice buildings and strip centers. I spent a small time selling luxury homes in Bel Air at Prudential John Douglas Realty. That was glamorous but it was not for me. In 1999 I joined my daughter Tina Maraj at RE/MAX of North Orange County in Fullerton California with Broker Owner Ron Holborn. I have recently retired. I refer all of my past clients and friends to my daughter Tina Maraj & Son in Law Randy Tovar.
