For years we enjoyed an appreciation of 14-16% annual appreciation average for channel front homes, and around 7% for lakefront. I have sold over $50 million in real estate in the last four years. I am a full time Real Estate Broker, I believe I have very strong negotiating skills; critically necessary, especially in this market, to obtain the best scenario for you in your search for the ‘best deal'. We have seen some decline in appreciation in 2008; I my opinion primarily due to overall national economic conditions and exorbitant amounts of negative media as they spin all the pessimistic news on our national economy they can possibly spit out. This creates hesitation and reserve even in areas that are still healthy. Real estate is very specific to local demographics. Our county is home to some very very healthy global industry, and secondly the resort/recreational lakes real estate market.
