Julie and Joe Otillio met and married while working in the financial industry in the 1980's. Each of them is a native of the New Orleans area, so they know the struggles and victories that only NOLA folks know. Building their own home in1988 gave them the added experience and insight into the construction side of mortgage lending.
In June 2001, Jabez Financial Services, d/b/a AmCor Mortgage, was born and came with a rich and vast knowledge of the loan and financial industry.
Joe and Julie have founded AmCor Mortgage on one main value: integrity. They know their greatest success comes from acting with integrity. The commitment to provide the right product to each customer, based on their specific situation, is the first and foremost priority. They work as a team with their staff to advise, educate, and meet the mortgage needs of their customers.
The belief that integrity breeds success has paid off. As with any successful business, the AmCor Mortgage team faces mortgage challenges head on. Needless to say, AmCor Mortgage thrives well in St. Charles Parish today.
Our focus at AmCor is on building lasting relationships with our customers. We understand the importance of getting to know our customers in order to appreciate their goals, both now and in the future. Before recommending a loan program, our first step is to conduct a needs assessment. The entire AmCor team analyzes those needs ensuring that customers will benefit from our collective experiences. We also rely on the expertise of our business partners who are professionals such as attorneys, appraisers, realtors, builders, and account executives with the highest levels of integrity and experience. The next step we take is to educate our customer on the best borrowing options available to suit their situation. We save them time and money by shopping with dozens of lenders with whom we are approved to originate loans. Our team stays up-to-date on new loan programs entering the marketplace and is constantly on the look-out for industry changes that can affect our customers. Finally, we make sure to be fair and reasonable when pricing our loans. Written estimates are always presented to our customers with full disclosure of all fees. We do everything possible to avoid any surprises at the closing table, and even attend most of our loan closings.
In keeping with our drive to educate the public, we teach classes on Homebuyer Education and Understanding Your Credit. Julie Otillio's expertise also emcompasses all aspects of the Mortgage Bond Subsidies issued by the state of Louisiana.
AmCor specializes in 1st and 2nd mortgages, refi's, equity loans, and Bond Subsidies(which helps those with average to good credit and stable income, but can't obtain enough cash for closing costs.)
