Get to Know Dee Scruggs-Carstens
A native from Cajun Country in South Louisiana, I have resided in Maine, Pennsylvania and now call Va Beach home since 1991. My huband is a Naval Officer on active-duty and will be preparing for retirement in 2011, after proudly serving 26 years.
In my time off, you will find me spending time boating with my family. I am a proud stepmother to Hunter, who is now 11 yrs old. I am active at his elementary school by volunteering at the library, participating in the reading program, and writing the monthly newsletter for the PTA.
I enjoy volunteering and fundraising for the American Cancer Society & Relay for Life, as my husband is a cancer survivor of 3 years! We volunteer together at local festivals for the Contemporary Art Center of VA and the VA Beach Jaycees. In VA Beach, there is always something going on, we try not to miss a thing!
Of course I make time for sports on Sundays, when I am not holding Open Houses or showing property..... Are you ready for some football??? I enjoy watching my New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers along with my boys.
I am enthusiastic and energetic. I treat each client with respect and dignity, just as I wish to be treated.

I enjoy working with and educating 1st-time homebuyers as much as I enjoy the corporate client or the 2nd home purchaser. My business is built on referrals and I have been fortunate enough to have repeat clients. I am passionate about my career and simply just love people! I am celebrating my 14th year in residential sales and look forward to another 14 years or more.
I am certified in relocation and work with clients who are here merely to househunt prior to accepting a poiton. I prepare an area tour and show them around and the advantages of residing in Hampton Roads (Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk & VA Beach). I am also certified in REO properties, which is on the rise in our area. I can assure you all the concerns will be addressed prior to contract writing.
