Really, PATIENCE is my area of expertise!! And a little humor, too! After all, truth be known, in the real world things don't always go like on HGTV! Sometimes though it doesn't hurt to hope! First time buyer's have seen HGTV,they want it all!Maybe they can have it but most of the time reality sets in when we sit and go through what their budget will really allow. After they understand and are qualified, they become excited about what they CAN afford and the search is on! Many first time buyer's are well prepared since internet searching has provided them with home and neighborhood details. sometimes they've already done most of the discovery work, where desired neighborhoods, schools,shopping and jobs are located. They may have become familiar with the locale in general and need the Realtor to show the selected homes, compare the pros and cons and negotiate a successful contract. Piece of cake they think, until an unsuspected issue arises. Then, the VALUE of having THEIR Realtor speaks for itself. Trust develops, problems get solved. Contract closes and THEY ARE HOMEOWNERS! What's important in this scenario is that, in my opinion, it's not how fast you did something but how well you did it.  That's what I hope first time buyer's will remember...and RETURN for their next home while I'm selling their first one!

Relocation    clients require PATIENCE, too. They may or may not have been previous home or property owners,may or may not have been to the area. They. however, have a definite set of needs, with required deadlines from two places.They have an underlying anxiety no matter how well disguised or how smoothly things go. They want to get settled! Quickly! This requires being prepared and available for them. Often, just being a good listner helps them come to their own conclusions about an issue as they voice opinions back and forth. Knowing when to intervene, make a suggestion or present unknown facts demonstrates care and concern for them. It also sets the tone for future relationships,enounters and hopefully REFERRALS!

Seniors are special! Vibrant, exciting, knowledgeable,definite,purposeful! Here, PATIENCE is again needed for many reasons and circumstances. Each experience teaches me that I,too, will need advice, counsel, empathy and respect to accomplish property ownership or sale of existing property. Whether moving to a new home locally or out of State, to a retirement community with amenities or buying a vacation home additional depth of knowledge of this client's needs is required. Reminding myself to LISTEN CAREFULLY a plan is developed and I work on it promptly with attention to detail. Successful closing brings mixed reaction....satisfaction that the deal is complete,a little sad that I won't be seeing quite as much of the client and hopeful for a referral in the future!

All of these clents, as well as sellers, challenge me to remain current on local and State laws,to pay attention to my local market through our MLS. Even in present market conditions, learning is constant. I don't think I'll ever be an expert but it's a challenging and ever changing profession!  I'm surely available and at your service!
