Laura Berman - we couldn't have done it without you. Your expertise, patience, good-nature and negotiating skills guided us through the sale of our home, as well as the purchase of our new home. Throughout our complicated transaction, you kept all of the balls in the air and made it happen.

I wanted to say what a great experience I had working with Laura to sell our home. Laura was very easy to talk to and wonderful at listening. She also was very knowledge about the market and forthright with information that helped me price the some so it would sell vs. just sit idle. I felt like I was speaking to someone who was genuinely looking out for my best interests during the sale of our home. She was with me the entire process and often times would take time out of her schedule to meet people at our home when I could not make it there. She helped identify issues during the sale of our home and then provided solutions to them (for example, scheduling and arranging to meet contractors at my home). This was an incredible help and a huge relief to me. She took care of many loose ends during the process and even followed up with me after the sale regarding things that the other agent would have likely ignored or skipped altogether (for example, making sure I was property compensated for left over propane).
To sum it up, working with Laura made what could have been a very stressful process a very positive experience for me. I would highly recommend her for any real-estate related matters.

We generally live by the notion that "everything happens for a reason." So it was no accident that we "stumbled across you while looking for our retirement property in the Grass Valley area.
Our first meeting showed us your no-nonsense approach in telling it like it is. Rather than just telling us what we wanted to hear, you explained the pluses and minuses of all the property we looked at.
You allowed us to explore each potential property to the fullest, and we appreciate your patience during our hikes, including picking us up at the other end! Rather than rushing us in and out, you gave us all the time we wanted without any pressure.
And being new to the rural setting, we threw a lot of questions at you -- from septic tanks to tractors you had the answers right off the top of your head, and the one or two you weren't sure of, you had the answer in less than a day. In addition, your thoroughness and knowledge of larger properties also saved us from potential problems and additional future costs on the property we purchased.
We have already told family and friends and will continue to tell every we know, "If you are looking for property in the Grass Valley area, we have your realtor."

I wanted to take a moment to jot down some thoughts and thank you for providing me with the best real estate experience I have ever had. From the time I first contacted you two years ago until you found my dream ranch, you have been exemplary. I am so impressed with your professionalism, your high standard of excellence, your unwavering ethics and of course your patience with me.
I came to you with a list of very specific criteria and every property you showed me fit those criteria. You stuck with me and both patiently and nonjudgementally guided me through all the different permutations as I experienced with raw land, converting existing properties, and finally sticking with your first recommendation (you were right all along), finding property that already had a nice home plus infrastructure already in place. You are immensely patient and wise, and I thank you for giving me the space to grow through all those variations on a ranch theme.
You promoted Grass Valley to me as a great place to retire, and now that I've actually lied here for the past 3 months, I must say, you were spot on. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I really find that I have come home to a wonderful community.
When we first met, you promised that you would find the right property for me. I can't believe you actually did and helped me to make my retirement dreams come true. You truly set the standard by which all realtors should be judged. You are second to none. As such, as my friends and colleagues begin to retire, I intent to send you a lot more business.
Driving around the neighborhood today, I chanced to drive by the piece of property on Cricket Land that several years ago Connie and I seriously considered buying. Seeing that it has yet to be built upon, caused me to reflect on the advise you gave me when I was dead set to purchase it. While you agreed that it had beautiful vistas to both the south and north, you cautioned about the four NID easements to adjacent lots right through the middle of the property, that would, over the years, most likely become more than mere inconvenience. You also cautioned again the power lines traversing the front third of the acreage, as well.
I was determined to build on that lot. You were determined to enlighten me to the several significantly negative aspects of that property. Your commitment to changing my stubborn mind was achieved on a cold, rainy October morning, when you, Connie and I met with the several "neighbors," we'd be dealing with on a regular basis with respect to the NID easements. Your patience paid off. I may come to the party late, but I finally do show up.
It's a very special type of Realtor who can be openly forthcoming enough with their client to take a stand saying, "You really don't want to buy this piece of property," especially against the initial (and in my case, obstinate), desires of the client. It takes a unique agent to risk not making a sale rather than make a bad sale because the client is not savvy enough to recognize the potential problems association with a property. At the time, Connie and I were virtual strangers to you. You could easily have aid, "OK, let's make an offer," and moved on, knowing your client was an idiot. But you didn't. You placed us before the commission and continued to instruct us on what to look for and what to watch out for in a property. All the while, you continued to search to find the piece of property for us. You did that as well, and we've been forever thankful for your candid honesty with us when we were a little more than off-the-street buyers.
You are our Realtor for life. Not only did we find the right property on which we've build our home, but to us, the friendship we have built with you is our most treasured reward.

Just received your thank you note for the closing of our escrow. Actually it's Don and I who should be thanking you. This real estate transaction was definitely the least troublesome we have ever had and we it's because of your experience in the marketplace and the professional staff you have in your office.
The decision to put our property on the market during this slow period was difficult and further complicated by some of the less than optimistic advice we received from other brokers. We appreciated our honesty from the beginning and after you showed us all the ways your company markets property, we knew our property would get the best exposure possible. You seemed to know exactly the kind of buyer we would need to attract to our somewhat unusual property. And we especially appreciate the fact that you were able to get us full price. As you told us from the start - if it's priced right and marketed correctly, it will sell.
Please extend our thanks to your assistance, Cathy, for always keeping us informed of the advertising, showings, and potential interest on the property before we found our buyer. Cathy was such a help facilitating all the paperwork required when the seller is 3000 miles away.
