Prior to real estate Monica was the owner of a local florist shop, which is a high level customer service business. Dealing with the general public during two of the most important times of their lives, being funerals and weddings gives you a deep sense of understanding a persons emotional side that helps them make decisions. Monica believes you have no second chance to make a good first impression and getting a person to trust your guidance in a product that they may not have much experience in purchasing is very important. This experience has helped Monica with clients during the real estate transactions she has been involved in. Monica believes that continued education is not only a requirement but a must in any field if you want to be successful. Being in the business for eleven short years, Monica has completed and acquired the( ABR ) Accredited Buyers Rep. designation during the first year and a half, the (GRI) Graduate of the Real Estate Inst. designation, the (CSP) New Construction Sales Professional designation, E-Pro, Broker and now is a Owner of her own company. Monica is a member of NAR,DAR KCAR,ABATE,Women of the Moose (Past Jr.Regent), Ladies Auxiliary for the American Legion (Past Ways & Means Chairperson), Past Felton Town Council Secretary, and International Right of Way Chapter 56 Secretary for the State of Delaware 2012-2013. She served in 2007 as the chairperson for Operation Butter Ball's 1st Annual Poker Run to help raise money for Thanksgiving dinners to feed the needy families of Dover and surrounding areas in conjunction with the Delaware State Housing Authority and raise money for People's Place to give toys to the children they serve during the Christmas holidays. She has also volunteered on the committee for Habitat for Humanity thru KCAR. Appeared as a volunteer for the Extreme Home Make Over show that was filmed in Wilmington, DE. and has been nominated twice for REALTOR OF THE YEAR in Kent County for 2008 & 2010. Serves on many committes in the industry also. Monica worked for the State of Delaware in Real Estate with the Dept. of Transportation acquiring property rights for Delaware roadway projects in Kent and Sussex counties which broaden her experience in real estate transactions. She attended high school, trade school and college all in the area that she serves, and resides with her two children in a home that she purchased at the young age of 21. Monica's area's of expertise include new construction as she has represented major builders, first time buyers, commercial and land sales. Monica loves the commercial side of real estate and being able to look out side the box to incorperate empty properties into something new and refreshing. The challenge of negotiating the deal is Monica's strongest asset which she has learned years ago as the first women car salesperson in this area.
