Dana Fortier is the Owner and President of Your Branch Office, a virtual assistant service that provides project, operations and business management to its clients, and is now the Owner and President of Your Branch Office’s spin-off company, Your Branch Real Estate Office, providing Transaction Management and Listing Coordination to residential and commercial realtors, primarily in Michigan, but also in Ohio, California, Florida, South Carolina and Pennsylvania currently. Additionally, the company offers project, operations & business management services to Multi-REVA companies.
As a former legal assistant, Dana has found that she finds joy in organizing and managing busy professionals. And they find that they appreciate having someone organizing and that likes (really likes!) to take care of the details.
A native “Okie”, born and raised in Oklahoma City and its surrounding area, she moved to Michigan in 1995 and continued her career as a legal assistant until starting her virtual assistant business in April 2007, after two life-changing events: the birth of her son 18 months prior and the loss of her job due to cut-backs at the firm where she worked. She had been researching virtual assistance as a way to earn some extra money after hours, and decided the time was right to get to it full time.
Dana is married to Paul and they have two children and live in Novi, MI, a suburb of Detroit. In her free time, she enjoys movies, watching TV, reading, teasing her kids and watching Tigers Baseball. She’s really taken her new native city to heart and loves all things “Detroit” from the revitalization that’s happening in the downtown area to the booming economy after the auto industries hit rock-bottom to the new arts movement.
The family enjoys spending time at the DIA, The Henry Ford and the Detroit Zoo, where they have an annual membership.
I work with realtors who would prefer to sell homes and leave the details - the paperwork, the phone calls, the appointment setting & confirming - to someone else. I enjoy the details and I thrive in them!
