The Douglas Team philosophy is simple. We take care of our clients. We provide unmatched service by staying true to 3 basic principles:
1 - WE DON'T SELL REAL ESTATE - Huh? It understandably sounds strange, but we don't sell. When we began in the real estate business, we specifically selected real estate because a potential buyer or seller already has a desire to complete a transaction. So, instead of working on "closing" the buyer/seller, we focus on fulfilling their needs. If that means finding a home to purchase, we listen closely to their criteria and search tirelessly to find the home. If we're working for a seller, we market the home properly, and provide them constant updates regarding market conditions. In all this, we never pressure our client to engage in any transaction simply to get the deal "closed ". We never want our clients to walk away from a transaction feeling like they were "sold" a house. Instead, we want them to feel that they were supported in their own decision to buy or sell by knowledgeable, professional real estate agents.
2 - WE COMMUNICATE CONSTANTLY - Nothing is more frustrating than being in the dark. Communication means that we keep our clients constantly informed on the status of their transaction. Our buyer's agent, transaction coordinator, and I make frequent calls to our clients to simply stay in touch after a transaction closes as well. Phone calls are returned same day, and emails are returned just as promptly. Most importantly, when our client speaks . . . we listen.
3 - WE ARE COMMITTED TO EDUCATION - In two ways. The Douglas Team is constantly looking for ways to enhance our knowledge. We also focus on educating our clients. We create in our office and with our clients an environment that makes learning about real estate comfortable and inviting. By our constantly seeking ways to do our job better, and by making our first-time home buyers or investors feel safe in asking us questions . . . we create smoother transactions.
