Hello! Let me tell you a little about how I came to work in Real Estate. I grew up in Manassas, VA- which is about an hour outside of Washington, DC. I spent 15 years in Virginia, and went to college in James Madison University. I graduated in 2001 and worked/lived in Arlington (DC Metro) area for 2 years as a loan officer. As much as I enjoyed the area, I didn't really like my job and I really wanted to see more of the world. I had a friend who had moved to Charleston, and offhand one time I mentioned how much I had always wanted to live at the beach. That same friend's roommmate eventually moved out, and on a whim I decided to come on down! I worked at Wild Dunes for a year and a half; working in the service industry and learning to play golf! In the meantime, I went to Real Estate School and got my license. I started my career with a builder, KB Home. I worked for KB for 3 years before leaving in May to try my hand in general brokerage.
Having spent the beginning of my real estate career in new construction, I would have to say I am very comfortable taking my clients out to new construction neighborhoods. Knowing what to expect in a buidling process, as well as what is acceptable and unacceptable in the contruction of a home is a huge plus for my clients. While I am open to business all over Charleston, I live and work in the North Charleston/Hanahan area so I am most familiar with developments there, particularly Tanner Plantation.
