Mr. Cash made the selling process very easy and stress free on my family from start to finish. He was very professional and I was very thankful he used modern technology so that I was able to use esignatures to handle all of the paperwork instead of having to meet up numerous times. He was also able to help us liquidate the remaining items in the estate through his auction company. I highly recommend his services.
Commonwealth of Kentucky Surplus Division09/27/0013
Jay Cash, Auctioneer with James R. Cash Auctions, conducted a surplus liquidation sale for the Commonwealth of Kentucky this past Tuesday in Frankfort, KY.
The auction brought in $1,927,070.03 for the Commonwealth’s Division of Surplus Property.
Jay was selected to handle the auction by Danny Ford, director of the Kentucky Division of Surplus Property. “I have known of Cash Auctions and his family for many years and everyone lived up to what I have always heard.” Ford said. “Not only did they prove to be true professionals in the auction business but in addition, the entire staff was considerate, kind and great to work with.”
Over 500 registered bidders attended the live auction, which contained 686 lots owned by the Transportation Cabinet and Department of Agriculture.
Items ranged from trucks, tractors and trailers to obsolete materials used throughout the state.
Jay, a second-generation auctioneer credits the success of this auction to having a great team of auctioneers, bid-assistants, clerks and cashiers to assist in the daylong event.
Kentucky has held a series of surplus property auctions in recent years to generate money for government programs. Items are deemed surplus when wear and usage makes them costly to maintain or if it becomes obsolete.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to help buy new equipment for the agencies.
