I am the owner and Broker-in-Charge of Exit Realty The Tracey Group in the metro Charleston/Folly Beach/James Island area. I have been a full-time Real Estate Specialist for almost two decades. I moved to Charleston with my wife Cheryl from Fargo North Dakota. We are so happy we made the transition almost 20 years ago! We have 11 beautiful grandchildren. We have been a part of the Folly Beach turtle team, preserving and protecting their natural habitat for over a decade. We are also proud supporters of Pet Helpers, the only no-kill pet facility in Charleston.

Folly Beach is a laid back community affectionately called the "Edge of America". The island is reminiscent of the beach towns of yesterday with one main street filled with restaurants, beach shops and nightlife. There's plenty of local flavor here to go around with artists, musicians, fishermen and surfers adding to the island's eclectic look and feel. (View our most up to date Exit Listings.)Folly's population is just over 2000, but on a summer day, that number increases drastically. Just 10 minutes from Charleston, it remains a favorite spot for Charlestonians looking to beat the summer heat. Six miles of white sandy beaches provide just the right terrain for shelling, sand castle building or a pick up game of volleyball. The wash-out, found on the eastern side of the island, is considered the premier surf break in the Southeast. The western side of the island offers The Folly Beach County Park complete with restrooms, showers, ample parking and lifeguards. Folly's pier is 1,000 feet long and perfect for catching fish. There's a tackle shop here as well, to make a fisherman's life that much easier. Parasailing, sea kayaking, bicycle riding, boating ....there's so much to do at Folly every day can be a completely different experience!
