I have been in the real estate business since 1997, serving all of New Hanover County, and parts of Brunswick and Pender Counties. Much of my business has been referrals from previous customers, which I find very encouraging and rewarding. I have helped buyers purchase and owners sell everything from building lots in the historic district, larger tracts of land in the country, small investment homes, homes with boatslips, larger 4,000+ square foot homes and everything in between.
I have personally bought and sold homes in the past, and own several investment properties, so I know how it feels to be a buyer negotiating and a seller putting a home on the market. Feeling empowered with current information and the backing of a solid Realtor and company is very important.
E-pro, Realtor, Broker
Quick Bio- I grew up in Northern VA in the town of Triangle (right outside Quantico Marine Base). I attended Potomac High School from 1988- 1992 where I played football, wrestled, and rowed on the crew team. I then continued my education at Radford University from 1992- 1996 rwhere I received a psychology degree. While in college I joined the Kappa Sigma fraternity and participated in many intramural sports, winning chamionships in volleyball and raquetball. I also participated in the fraternity as the risk management chair, vice president, as well as several other duties. I feel that my degree in psychology helps me to think critically, analyze situations from an impartial perspective, and to be passionate about what I believe in.
Working as a buyers agent is a very rewarding experience. Helping someone fulfill their real estate related goals and getting them the best deal possible is the name of the game. Handling all of the small details along the way before they become problems or missed deadlines helps make the experience pleasant and positive instead of stressful and negative.
Working with sellers can be equally as rewarding. Pricing a home is one of the most important factors of my job. Price it too high and it sits there with few showings and no offers. Price it too low and it sells immediately with everyone wondering, "Did we price it too low?". I am happy to say that I feel that I have never underpriced a property. Owners many times want to feel out the market and price their home 5- 10% above market value. When this happens I try to educate my sellers and show them that the house isn't showing and selling, so a price drop is needed. The key is to price the house right in the first place- trust your agent and the comparables and price the house to position it near the top of the average buyers home shopping list.
First time home buyers or seasoned sellers... $125,000 invesmtent property to high dollar properties- I'm ready to help with all of your real estate related needs.
