My husband and I jokingly say "On the way to being frugal, we stumbled into Green"! We wanted to have a home with little or no maintenance that would be easy to heat and cool with low energy bills. We built it with an insulated concrete foundation, structural insulated panels for the first floor walls, and a geothermal HVAC system. It's met all of our expectations and more!
