Get to know Laura Dobbins
I have been working in some aspect of real estate my entire adult career. For example, I am also a licensed appraiser in the state of Georgia and worked as an appraiser for four years. I don't know any other agents who have a dual license. Previously, I was Vice-President in the Real Estate Department of a large bank and also worked for the U. S. government for 11 years for the U. S. Treasury Dept. I have a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Texas. I bring all of this varied knowledge and skill to every client I meet.
When I'm not out selling homes, I enjoy reading novels with a local book club, going out to lunch or dinner and movies with my husband, travelling (with and without my husband and kids!), walking my rescue dog, petting my rescue cat, working on my fitness level with a personal trainer (did I mention eating out?), going to church, attending Augusta Area Newcomers' Club events and board meetings, volunteering for high school band parent duties, and indulging my sweet tooth (did I mention my fitness level?)
My husband is retired from the U.S. Air Force, so I know what it is like to move with kids and pets - even overseas and back! New or just moving to the area? I've been in your shoes a few times and I understand your anxieties and concerns.

I specialize in the Columbia County and Richmond County markets, especially Evans, Martinez, Grovetown, and West Augusta. I love working with the military since we are military retirees and my husband works at Ft. Gordon. I make a great buyers agent as I know what it is to arrive new to the area and I am willing to show houses on evenings and weekends when other agents are off duty.
On the other hand, I put forth extra effort on my listings. After my sellers have signed a listing agreement with me, I am prepared to launch a full scale marketing campaign to get the message out about the property. I personally pay for "featured ads" on Trulia.com and Realtor.com and "showcase ads" on Zillow.com to get that extra bit of coverage. All of my listings have virtual tours.
Frankly, I don't have hundreds of buying customers and listings. Therefore, every call I receive from a client or potential client is important to me! If you want to get lost in the crowd or put on a low-priority list, call another agent.
