Welcome to the Shoreline! My name is Michelle L. Mayo, and I've been helping buyers and sellers in southeastern Connecticut since 2009. My career background includes working as a real estate paralegal, property manager and a relocation director for a national real estate company. Altogether, I've been working in the real estate industry for over 20 years!
My passion is helping people, and this is why I became specialized as a SELLERS REPRESENTATIVE SPECIALIST (SRS), an ACCREDITED BUYER'S REPRESENTATIVE® (ABR), REAL ESTATE NEGOTIATION EXPERT (RENE) and as a SENIORS REAL ESTATE SPECIALIST® (SRES). These are professional designations I earned so that I could provide extra counseling and guidance to home sellers, home buyers and senior clients. I am also proud to be certified as a MILITARY RELOCATION SPECIALIST®.
I've been awarded 5 years in a row the CONNECTICUT MAGAZINE FIVE STAR REAL AGENT AWARD. I have also received the ECAR CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD.

My family and I enjoy going to local events, such as the Sail Festival in New London and the Celebrate East Lyme festival. We also love traveling and boating on our 30 foot Express Cruiser. When I have time to myself, you can find me reading or doing a little online shopping.

| Michelle Mayo stands out above the rest. While we were considering a number of other agents she made our decision easy by clearly setting herself apart from the competition. We were living in Virginia preparing to buy a home in Connecticut. We could not travel routinely to Connecticut to meet with prospective agents and had to choose one based on how they sold themselves through emails or phone calls. Michelle was unlike any of the others. Her first email revealed she was well organized, highly qualified, assertive and understood how to make a positive, professional, first impression. Her natural drive and determination clearly shined through in her presentation. One of the only agents who followed up with a phone call, the enthusiasm and skill Michelle conveyed in a few conversations quickly proved she would be the perfect agent for us. Michelle will get the job done! For a number of weeks we watched good homes in Connecticut go under deposit in a matter of days after coming on the market. We relied on her to judge and accurately convey the information we needed to make the largest financial and emotional purchase one ever makes; their home. Michelle handled this task with great integrity and enthusiasm. And with her trusted input and swift response we were able to secure this home for ourselves before anyone else had a chance. | Michelle was fantastic!! My boyfriend and I purchased our first house with the help of Michelle. As it was our first home purchase, naturally we had a lot of questions. We first met Michelle at an open house and she was so helpful even before we signed on with her as our realtor - she sold us! As our realtor, Michelle sent us suggestions for houses based on what she knew we were looking for. She was SUPER responsive and would email, text, or call back not only the same day, but within the hour. She was very knowledgable and helpful at showings, and once we found the house we wanted, she worked hard to help us get the best deal possible. Michelle was on top of everything, whether it was suggesting properties, negotiating with the seller's realtor, or communicating with our lender and attorney to keep everything on schedule for closing. I would absolutely recommend Michelle! |

| I would highly recommend Michelle to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. She is very knowledgeable and is quick to respond to any questions or concerns that come up during the process. | Quite simply, Michelle is the best! We were long distance sellers and would have had a very difficult time managing all of the details - of which there were many - without Michelle's help and expertise. She ALWAYS got back to us very promptly when we had questions and gave us status reports and updates on a regular basis. She has a lovely professional demeanor and a fun sense of humor that made the entire selling process positive throughout. Michelle sold our house in just 4 days! | Michelle was wonderful to work with! I can't compliment her enough, from her knowledge of the local area to her excellent, punctual communication. She kept our expectations within reason and helped to keep our spirits up when we thought we'd missed opportunities. She was very patient with us, and explained everything involved in the process very clearly. Michelle helped us find a tenant for our rental property while finding a new place for our growing family to call home. She even helped take care of our 6 month old daughter while we toured houses together! | Michelle was simply amazing! This was my first time buying a property and I couldn't have asked for a better agent. She was available to immediately respond to every call text and email. She knew information regarding the market, the seller, and really took the time to get on a personal level with me and understand me as well as my needs and wants. I love my home and I knew everything I was getting into prior to closing. She also had information and references in regards to real estate attorneys and home inspectors.
