My experience has mostly been selling New Home Sales as a site agent. This includes working with many first-time home buyers in the Jacksonville, FL area at Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, on the "West Side", in Orange Park, on the "North Side" of Jacksonville and formerly in Callahan, FL in Nassau County for Maronda Homes. I very much enjoy the challenges presented by new home sales and love helping lookers turn into delighted buyers.
Seven years of my career have been working in the Jacksonville Beaches areas in General Real Estate. This is a great fit for me since I live very close to my office. I know the beaches very well, having lived here for 17 years and working here at the beach an additional 7. I specialize in distressed properties since there is a great need in our area for experts in this field.
Unfortunately, there are a great number of distressed homes in our greater metropolitan area. This has been a growing trend in this area and it seems there is no end apparant. At least 50% of my business consists of short sales and REOs. The Certified Distress Property Expert designation has prepared me a lot for this type of market but it is experience with it that has been the best teacher.
Recently the market in my area has begun to change and the prices are starting to stabilize. This has created a need for strong negotiators. My experience has long been heavy in the negotiating department so again, right place, right time. Bring on the difficult ones!
My experience since 1985 includes selling condo conversions, new condominiums, very small single family homes, town homes, zero-lot-line homes, and luxury custom homes. My formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Art History with a minor in Humanities and my Masters Degree is in Aplied Textiles with a minor Business Administration, with honors. This has given me the background to work with a wide variety of people from first-timers to wealthier move-up buyers.
I am very literate in computers, Excel, Publisher, Word and Photoshop. Math is also one of my better skills and this very much helps me in my skills in Financing. I pride myself in my ability to put the customers at ease and work tirelesly to help them through the uncomfortable and sometimes daunting task of securing a loan. Working with many different cultures, ethnicities, experience levels and types of personalities is something I enjoy and also excell at.
