Thank you for visiting. I am an agent with Ebby Halliday, REALTORS - Northeast Dallas office where I work as a Bilingual REALTOR Broker Associate. I enjoy meeting new people and new families every day in an attempt to fulfill their dreams of home ownership. The part I enjoy most about being a REALTOR is knowing that my success is derived from helping others achieve their goal of home ownership. The lessons I learn daily from the ever-changing environment of real estate is what makes my position so rewarding.
My value to and accessibility in the community I call home is readily apparent in my work as a real estate professional. I know that helping my neighbors buy and sell property is much more than structures and contracts; it's about putting a smile on someone's face. That's what makes every bit of my hard work worth it all, and that's what I do best. I recognize the fact that I have opportunities to make a very positive impact in my client's lives at an important time. That is so important to me and I feel blessed to have that opportunity. I firmly believe that actions speak louder than words, and I show my gratitude for that opportunity with hard work and not just talk. I never forget that making people happy is the most important thing I can do.

René Barrera has earned and received special training through the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council - Accredited Buyer Representative, ABR. To obtain this designation, a real estate agent or broker must complete extensive classroom training and pass a written exam as well as submit evidence of practical experience. Less than 2% of all Licensed Real Estate Agents have achieved this level of expertise.
What does this mean to you as a client of René Barrera's? Simply stated, this means that Rene represents you, as a buyer of a Real Estate transaction. His focus is on your needs in purchasing your home. His representation role is clearly defined. Consumer advocacy groups nationwide recommend a consumer to have their own Buyer's Agent. In most cases your Buyers Agent is paid for by the seller of a property which doesn't cost you, the Buyer, any additional fees to have your own representation.
René Barrera has also earned and received his Real Estate Broker's License. This designation is awarded only to individuals who furnish the Texas Real Estate Commission satisfactory evidence of successfully completing Not less than two (2) years active experience in Texas as a licensed real estate salesperson or broker during the 96 month period immediately preceding the filing of their application; a minimum of 270 classroom hours of core real estate courses and an additional 630 classroom hours in related courses acceptable to the Commission for a total of over 900 hours of curriculum. A rigorous examination must also be successfully passed. Lastly, upon filing of an application a background investigation is also required; information revealed in an investigation would be cause for disapproval of this license.
René Barrera has also earned and received NAHREP Certification - Educational requirements include a cutting-edge educational curriculum that establishes NAHREP certified real estate professionals as "trusted advisors" in the Hispanic home buying community and allows industry professionals to consistently invest in their personal development. Certified professionals accomplish this by providing educational tools and a networking forum, and through the power of advocacy. René served on the Dallas Chapter board of directors as Treasurer for the years of 2005 and 2006. NAHREP's mission is to increase Hispanic homeownership rates by empowering the advisors that serve them.
