I have a degree from the University of North Dakota in Marketing. I've been appraising since March of 1979 and have done an appraisal on one of just about anything you can think of. I work in commercial and agricultural property appraisal for the most part with some residential work to remind me why I don't do much of that anymore.
I have two wonderful children, a son entering his freshman year at UND this fall and a daughter beginning her second year of high school. I've been married to a wonderful lady for 19 years and am hoping for many more.

My education in the appraisal business has been mainly from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. I am considered an expert in the appraisal of agricultural property from the smallest piece of bare farm land to complex properties. I also appraise commercial property in Northern Minnesota. I have an extensive background in the appraisal business and a host of wonderful friends in the business where I go when I need some help.
My company completed over 1,000 appraisals on flood distressed property (mainly residential) in nature after the devastating flooding in Grand Forks/East Grand Forks in the spring of 1997. I have approximately 18 years of residential appraisal activity and do continue to do some residential appraisal work.
