EXPERIENCE: Thirty years of experience in real estate as a licensed agent; sixteen years as a licensed broker Developed and implemented relocation departments for real estate franchise owners back in the 1980ies; which required a very structured department with many different facets of designations to be able to run a successful department. In the mid 2005ish, bank owned inventory started to just emerged. Then I was one of the first to jump on the band wagon to learn all I could about bank owned inventory and attended many conferences and achieved designations to be eligible to handle bank owned inventory. The job required a staff to stay on top of subcontractors, trashouts, marketing reports, the ability to pay subs before I received any reimbursements, and to meet monthly marketing report deadlines, in some ways simililar to relocation. As the market improved and sellers were able to gain equity and more of the bank owned homes disappeared I then concentrated on just local market inventory. Most of my business is in and around the South Lyon area. I typically list residential homes. I have a staff of buyer brokers who work to sell homes to buyers who are proficient at what they do. My highest level of expertise is in listing and selling. Real estate is complex in today's market. There about 50 different tasks under this umbrella of real estate. Proficiency is the key. I have found it so beneficial for buyers and sellers to really plan out a projected timeline for living in the house. The knowledge of cash flow is essential. Buying or selling a home can also become an emotional system, psychologists tell us this is right up there for stress such as divorce, death. However, it also must be a good sound financial decision.
Attitude is another one of my strengths. People are buying and selling houses every day. I have had people ask me how I have been so successful this past year, particularly coming out of management and not a lot of repeat business.
