I am native to Richmond and Western Henrico and have lived here my entire life. I graduated from Godwin High School and then Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA.
My real estate career has been predicated around one very simple, and basic philosophy...do what's right, and do the best that you can. I have seen how agents and companies have lost sight of the human aspect of real estate. I do not want to lose touch with the changing needs of the buyers and sellers in a market with high prices for buyers and longer days on market for sellers. Real estate, to me, is not about how many transactions I can do in a year. This means my clients are not just another sale. When you work with me, you and your goals, are my top priority.
With sellers, I customize a plan to sell with marketing ideas my broker has brought from different markets throughout the country. This is useful in customizing your plan by using aggressive ideas that are not often seen in this area. I realize that what works to sell one house, may not work for the next house. As a listing agent, I am extremely aggressive but I am aggressive in an appropriate way. I would love to tell you about some of the strategies I use to get houses to sell in this market.
As a buyer's agent, I understand this can be a stressful time. I have been there too. I will create a comfort level for you by making sure you know the process from beginning to end and what will be expected from you along the way so there are no scary surprises. As we look at houses I am very careful to pick up on comments and feelings you have so that the next house we see is even closer to what you want. I will not become inpatient or push you into making a decision. My job is to help you find the right house and facilitate the sale in your best interests.

|When I put my house on the market, I needed it sold quickly. My wife and I had already purchased a new home and wanted to limit the time carrying 2 mortgages. We struggled with our first agent...could not generate good traffic in the house to produce an offer, reluctant to be present when we did get showings and there was no follow up on feedback on the house. We got frustrated and decided to make a change. When we made the switch over to Stephen and it was night and day. He came out to the house the day after I called him (on a Friday afternoon). We talked about what needed to be done to the house and how to get QUALITY traffic in the house (most agents brag about the volume of traffic they produce, but I would rather have 10 showings with 2 offers than 50 showings with no offiers). The following Monday we put the house on the market and Stephen called buying agents and described the house so people that might actually be interested int he house were coming in. On Thursday we had 2 very interested buyers. On Friday we had an offer (within $5,000 of our asking price), and on Saturday we had a pending contract. I would reccomend Stephen to anyone looking to sell their home.|
