Get to Know SHIRLEY CHAMBERS
One of my biggest challenges has always been maintaining a balance between work and relaxation. The typical day for me begins with 45 minutes to an hour of excercise. My husband and I always try to take several vacations each year. We have taken trips to Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach, Hawaii, various parts of Florida and North Carolina. Our international travels include visits to France, Italy, Switzerland, and Brazil. We're looking forward to our summer 2007 when we are planning to spend a week in Vale, Colorado and then go from there to Vancouver for an Alaskian Cruise. I have always loved school. I was valedictorian in my high school class and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham. I also earned a Masters of Applied Computer Science while attending night school at Boston University.
Certifications
Prior to persuing my real estate career, I worked with major coroporations in Minneapolis, Denver, Boston, and Bethesda, Maryland for a total of 20 years as a computer specialist. In 1988, I acquired my real estate license and joined the Long and Foster Real Estate Company's Sterling/Potomac Falls Office. I have enjoyed my entire real estate career with this office.
