I moved to NM in 2001 from California to work for a mortgage company. In 2003, I decided to get my real estate license. I was not only a realtor in Calif., but my background was 30 years in the mortgage industry. With having both backgrounds, which most realtors do not, has given me the ability of educating my buyers from the mortgage process to the purchasing their first home. I keep myself informed with all of the loan programs available and I work with a very knowledgeable and ethical loan officer who has been in the business for over 15 years. In 2007, I attended a seminar in AZ to obtain my accreditation as a professional stager. I offer this to my sellers as a service. Whether their home is vacant or lived in, I will help them stage it. I now have 3 storage units full of furniture and accessories to stage homes. There is no fee for staging a home that is being listed by me. This is a courtesy on behalf of American Realty and myself. I am very fortunate to have a background that is so well rounded. I enjoy working with first time homebuyers. There is such a rewarding feeling in helping young people get that American Dream of being a homeowner. Their gratitude is overwhelming and they are so appreciative. I have also had the opportunity of listing and selling high end homes of which I also enjoy. Coming here to NM from Calif. has been an eye opening experience for me. I have learned so much as far as the various archietectural homes here. I never get tired of learning.
Since I live in Rio Rancho and I know the area so well, I specialize in this city. I keep myself up to date on city and community activities and changes to our beautiful and charming city. We are a young city and we are growing very fast. So many opportunities for new businesses to come here and be successful. We are awaiting word on when we will be breaking ground on our first hospital --Presbyterian Hospital. We broke ground last month on Hewlett Packard building and look forward to having them here.
