Sweeney Auction & Realty was founded in 1978 with one goal in mind, TO SERVE THE PUBLIC, as a SELLERS AGENT. We have conducted auctions, and sold at Private Treaty, both Personal Property and Real Estate across the state of Nebraska. We have also sold in the State Kansas, however we are only licensed to sell Real Estate in Nebraska. I served under the first Treasure of the National Auctioneers Association, Henry (Hank) Rasmussen of St.Paul, NE. and consider the time spent conducting auctions with this man as beyond able to put a value on it. He had a tremendous way of reading the buying crowd and coaxing the last dime out of a crowd. We have conducted multi day antique auctions and have sold Real Estate in the multi thousands of dollars and have also sold auctions where there was barely enough income to pay and expenses. One thing Mr. Rasmussen told me was "If your too big to sell the small sales, your not nearly big enough to sell the big sales". We pride ourselves on working hard for our clients the Seller.
