Get to know Chris Allen
After being furloughed as pilot from Delta Airlines following September 11th in 2001, Chris Allen relocated back to his hometown of Oklahoma and formed a residential real estate company, The Allen Group. Due to Chris' previous experience as owner and manager of Florida IntraCoastal Realty, changing career fields from pilot to real estate associate was handled with ease. Chris had record sales that first year in business and The Allen Group hasn't stopped growing. Additional licensed realtors & office staff have added a better rounded group to help ever-growing client needs. New construction, urban living and eco-friendly, green living are areas in which The Allen Group is currently diversifying.
Chris grew up in Edmond and Oklahoma City. He attended Edmond elementary schools and graduated from Casady High School in 1987. Chris earned a spot at the United States Air Force Academy. He was on the Dean's Honor list three years and graduated in 1991. He has piloted planes to every continent of the world-flying both C-21 and C-141 aircraft. Towards the end of his tenure in the Air Force, he was distinguished as a Presidential Support Pilot, Antarctica Pilot and one of five Nuclear Airlift Pilots. Leaving the Air Force in 2000, Allen accepted a pilot position with Delta Airlines flying Boeing 737s throughout the eastern United States. Training and working for a major airline gave him a corporate perspective with real bottom line issues affecting him directly.
Chris's management positions in the Air Force, the up close and personal experience of being furloughed from Delta Airlines, and learning to adapt to new environments with his work has given him some amazing insight into working with people and growing business smart. He has been described as one of the toughest negotiators in the business!
Parenting three daughters with his wife Stacey, Chris enjoys living and working in the city in which he was raised. He attends Bridgeway Church and is an avid outdoorsman.
