Get to know Tom Roberts

Soon after graduating from Kent State University (pre riot Kent State, for those who remember) with a degree in Marketing, I ended up in the Army where I spent a year in Viet Nam as a gunner on a 105mm Howitzer.  In November 1970 I traded my Howitzer for a brief case and entered the corporate world to begin a successful career in Sales and Marketing.

After thirty plus years of traveling all over the country and other parts of the world, in various Corporate sales and marketing roles, I entered Real Estate in 2003 and wish I'd done it much sooner.  Now I utilize the skills and abilities of my past life to help folks realize their housing dreams thru the purchase and/or sale of a home in Georgia.

When we came to the Atlanta area in 1979 we were referred to a real estate agent who really was no help at all and after the first day, we ask our relocation company to assign a new Realtor to help us find what we were looking for in GA.  Realtor number two was one of the most professional, helpful Agents I'd ever met and she continued to be our Agent, and that of our friends and co workers, till I entered the business myself.  From the minute I entered the business my objective was to treat my Clients the way this professional treated us, and I've worked hard to do that to the best of my ability.

We've been in Cobb County since 1979, so my main areas of focus are Cobb, N Fulton, Cherokee and Forsyth counties, but have always loved the mountains, and do enjoy helping folks find recreational or retirement homes in the N GA Mountains.

My goals include Happy Buyers, Happy Sellers and Happy Agents - in each and every transaction.  Because, I want to do business with each of you again and again.

Like many agents, I work with both Sellers and Buyers.  There is much more to "marketing" a home than a lock box and a sign, so my marketing background has been a valuable asset for my Seller Clients, and a systematic, personal approach to buying a home has been very helpful for my Buyer Clients.  Buying or Selling, the experience should be enjoyable, comfortable and financially rewarding.  Your Realtor is your business partner, and our relationship is based on integrity, trust and communication.

All Buyer relationships are satisfying, but I personally enjoy working with first time home Buyers.  Buying a home is a huge investment, and can be very stressful, so we make that first purchase experience an education as well as a financial investment, that benefits the Buyer for years to come.

Marketing luxury homes involves an expanded set of marketing skills, which again, benefits from past marketing experience and background.
