Get to know Joe Woutersz

Previous to this , I was a Remax agent and in the beginning I worked for a small independent brokerage.  Starting my own company allowed me to work on the details and the core values that were important to me.  We have approximately 20 agents in our firm and serve the greater Queensbury area including the Lake George region.  Education is a must in my world.  My designations include a GRI, awarded from Graduate Realtor Institute and an ABR designation, Which stands for Accredited Buyer Representative and a CRB, which is awarded by the council of Real Estate Brokers for advanced training in real estate management.  I am a certified real estate trainer in New York State and teach the real estate prelicensing course at a local community college.  I am the past chair of education within our Realtor Association.  My responsibilities included bringing in continuing education and designation courses to our region.  I have been on the board of directors for our association.  In the past I have served on the Grievance committee as well as professional standards.  These are the committees that resolve issues and conflicts within the Realtor Association.  So having said this it should also be clear that I am a stickler on honesty and doing business the right way.  I feel our company does a wonderful job serving consumers.  We have a great atmosphere within our company and the agents of the company are a real pleasure to work with.

Certifications

I enjoy almost all aspects of real estate.  I have a fairly large group of investors who I continue to serve by studying and evaluating properties.  I arrange financing when needed and spend a great deal of time just making sure these are going to be sound investments. 

Another segment of my business is devoted to sellers.   After 10 years in the business it's pretty clear to me what a person is expecting when they are selling a home.  I am very detail oriented , use checklists , have several agents who assist me with leg work and I am very thorough.  I like to provide weekly updates in what has sold or entered the market.  This provides perspective on what the market is doing and how this relates to our current situation of selling a home or property.

The buyer portion is made up of many different consumers.  Some of these are flippers.  This is a very tricky business, buying homes and renovating for the purpose of resale.  People are truly depending on me for sound advise.  This requires a great deal of scrutiny.  It's very easy to overspend in either the purchase or the repairs and I am proud that people trust me for these transactions.  Many of my clients have used my services for multiple transactions and refer me on a regular basis.  I am just as likely to be working with a son of a client buying their first home as I am working with a senior looking to downsize.
