No experience with P2P specifically, but as a former banker, I would say it's a risky investment, albeit the interest rates might be enticing. First, "investor" would need to know how to assess credit risk, devise a comprehensive loan agreement (which can be a complicated document with reps, warranties, default clauses, exact dates for various events, etc.), collateral agreements, repayment/collection plans and so on. It's not that simple and unregulated, so very risky for the borrowers as well.
