It's very rewarding to assist others in meeting their dreams and goals. It's great to be in a business that pays the bills as well.

Hi Annette;
In Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs, physiological needs must first be met (food, shelter, clothing) before any individual can begin to meet their higher, psychological needs.
Every individual has the need to feel respected. Several studies have shown that more often than not, an individual will choose increased job satisfaction over a pay raise. This fills the psychological need to feel respected...
I know agents in it only for the money. And while I am not judging, I have to wonder how satisfied they feel in their careers, if money is their only motivation.
For me, there is no greater satisfaction than receiving a new positive review. I know that by putting my clients first, the money will follow. All I have to do is stay focused on my clients, which also yields glowing reviews...which makes me feel like a rock star! :)
So yes, helping people buy and sell Outer Banks real estate; getting to play a part in making their life-long dreams come true; having a hand in helping them acquire a property where they will make memories for years to come; or if they are selling, assisting them in reaching the next phase of their lives...
This is a great privilege! And one I do not take lightly.
Real estate is The. Best. Job. EVER!

that's not the reason for participating in this profession, but it certainly helps the ego....I was a teacher prior to real estate, and the reason I jumped ship was for increase in income....the sky's the limit and there is nothing to stop that climb.... that's the reason I do it....

That is a very nice review. Congratulations on a job well done. Every buyer and seller has not always come to post reviews in my past, sometimes it is a nice hand written note or even a verbal thank you. Other time sit is the smies of their family.
