Michael, I get lots of these from lots of vendors. At some point it's too much "noise" and I end up deleting as I can't deal with all the emails that hit my box. Personally, I'm more interested in practical tips than in motivational comments. (But then, that's me and my bottom-line kind of attitude.)

I get one from an inspector locally here - I haven't used him for over a year because he started missing big things in the inspection that came back to bite me - I feel a little guilty when I delete the motivational Monday email each week - but I am with Nina Hollander - too much stuff in my box- At a minimum - do it on Friday - that is when our real work week begins for most agents- or tell us something fun to do for the weekend that is local to remind us to enjoy life and de-stress.

I have to admit, the only one that I read that's emailed to me is the one by Bill Wright, our Broker/Owner and it's emailed to all of us.... I'd read your online motivator....I love Lou Ludwig 's inspirational and motivational message every day....

I think they can be interesting - but the volume of them can be overwhelming so they end up in a file to be read later - which they often are not....

That's hard because I think of you as a friend; not a vendor. No problem here!

Michael,
We get so many of these. We all have too much stuff in our mailbox. We have several email addresses dedicated to different aspects of our business. Every morning, I spend about 10 minutes deleting and placing into junk spam items in each mailbox. That is a half an hour of my day. So, I know your heart and your intent is in the right place, I would not recommend that. A

Honestly, I wouldn't appreciate it and would unsuscribe. I am hounded by vendor emails daily and it all just becomes too much.

Though some of them are informational, most of them are not. I am a person who reads almost everything before I delete it, but I delete immediately after I read the first couple of lines if it does not pertain to me or my business. I would welcome them.

Hi Michael,
You should 110% do it! I blog inspirational/motivational posts all the time for my agents & they receive a huge positive response! It shows your buyers, sellers, and others a uniqueness about you and how you interract with your viewers - and your marketing.
Just be sure it's only once a week & mix it up with other posts on local things, such as an event happening during the week, a new listing, new sale, an open house coming up over the weekend...maybe a good tip that you found would be helpful from a local vendor & share it.
Getting a day started on a positive note makes anyone feel good. : )

I'm with everyone else who cringes at the thought of more email....hundreds of them come into my inbox every day and many of them I keep as new, thinking I will go back when I have time, but do I? No, usually what happens is I do a big cleaning and they get deleted in bulk.
With that said, I would like a newsletter that provides informational content...not motivation (nothing personal, sorry)...specific to home inspections and specific to the inner workings of a house. Why do home inspectors always say "install an anti tip bracket" on a stove or why is it a big deal if this or that is this way. Technical knowledge. I am not going to become a home inspector or pretend to be one, but I genuinely want to understand how much of a big deal it is to put in 3 prong outlets instead of 2...just so I can sound intelligent when talking to clients. And, because, well, I find it interesting for my own knowledge!

Michael Thornton I think some people will read them and most won't. After a while they may not read you at all.

If you don't make it your own....and you don't make it relevant to me, and me and me and....each agent individually, you will end up on the list.
I know you buy these 'stay in touch' and 'top of mind' programs from vendors just like we do. DON"T BELIEVE WHAT THEY ARE TELLING YOU TO GET YOUR MONEY! Your REAL question is 'should I make the 6 month monetary investment to do this?"
This is what I want to read. How your pain is the same as my pain. How pressing through your pain, in the reality in which you live, resulted in the victory/liberty/revelation/fulfillment/motivation/purpose I seek.
If you can do that, and I truly believe you can, but not without effort, bring it on. Make sure you copyright that text. OH....sorry, if you post your message on AR, ZILLOW Group OWNS it. If you print, or email, that would protect you better.
300+ emails daily. 230 from vendors. That's a lot of noise.

It can get overwhelming. Make sure to add a subscribe and opt out option on your emails.

Hi Michael - I think it could be very effective if it's pertinent - easy-to-read and consistent. Good luck!
Make it your own -- I'm starting to get very annoyed by a certain weekly newsletter I receive from three different vendors -- all the same...what a waste of time in my opinion.
