Sure.
Life is about balance.
But the mortgage still needs to be paid.
Emails need to be answered.
Awesomeness needs to be checked.

You can never focus on your goals and priorities too much, so I guess that's up to the individual to decide. However, speaking for me, yes, you can think about work too much. I've set boundaries in my mind to shut work off by 7pm Mon-Fri, by last client Saturday and ALL DAY Sundays. My family and non-career goals are more important than thinking of work. My commitment to my family & other goals is they get the best of me, not what's left of me.

Too much?
I don't know. I think about food quite frequently. The consequence of failing to do so can be significant.

Yes, absolutely. Mr. Murty will sometimes offer me a drink when I'm in overdrive.

Yeah, but I learned to accept it, my entrepreneur mind is always thinking about business, if I walk into any hotel or resort I immediately start thinking about what I would change if I could buy the hotel today. I tell people its a disease, but its of no danger to anyone but myself. Helps in making money from various businesses thats for sure!

Inspection items still keep me up at night, even when they are all agreed upon... YUK!

Constantly. I work six days a week, and even on Sunday I usually pop into the office. Real Estate is a never ending job.

Paul S. Henderson, Realtor, Tacoma Washington It does have a way of occupying the mind especially when a transaction is near to closing.

One of the greatest challenges is to focus on "where you are". If you are at work, that's where your mind should be. If you are at home, that's where your mind should be. In real estate, it is particularly difficult to set boundaries.
