All but one of my websites is custom built - by me. And I like it that way, keeps me in control. I always get contacted about making me #1 on Google with them. Several of them are already there, and those are the ones they call about. Yeh, right, let them make changes? No way. Oh, and it saves me lots of money. I don't care if they are not as slick as some others.

Absolutely - although my franchise offers great website options, I have always maintained my own. I like to have complete control over it and know that I am not tied to anything if I ever want or need to make a change.

I just found this quote:
90% of consumers use the Internet as part of their home search,
and an agent's website is what they use to select a Real Estate Professional.

I have mine own site at The Flooring Girl.
Yes, it's absolutely worth it! It accounts for 1/3 of my business.
I'm a franchise...and had a franchisee site. This one is MUCH better!

I've had good response to my brokerage site. But I'm looking at the responses here and thinking about the investment in building custom sites.

Yes, I do. It's where most of my business comes from.

Russell Alton - interesting that I do not have 'custom' website (and I did not even realize it!).
Am I missing in? I don't think so!.

We've always had our own. Wouldn't have it any other way. Check it out http://ChrisAndDick.com

I do have my own custom website through wordpress. It works great I get between 6 to 10 leads per week. I was lucky as my son helped set it up and added all the cool features I wanted.
