It has to be the original Halloween from 1978, that music was so scary and it still holds. Plus the story was creepy.

Halloween   This is the scariest thing since Psycho.  Both movies remain the scariest to me still for this reason.  They were far scarier than anything had ever been on screen at the time they were made.  There may be movies today that are much scarier but they don't have the same impact because of what else exist at the time of their release.

Still love the original Halloween with Jamie Lee Curtis. Love me some Alien 1 & 2 also! Sci Fi is a favorite if its suspenseful.

I really liked Hocus Pocus with Bette Midler.  Funny, great songs, pretty good story line, and good supporting actors, too.

Hocus Pocus is a great one Robert Smith!  One of my favorite ones is "Freddy vs. Jason" that was just hysterical! I am surprised how big and popular "It's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown" is and that it's still on TV.

I've never found a halloween movie I liked, just not my holiday. I prefer to decorate for fall, not halloween.
