I'm always purchasing domain names, and not just for real estate. If an idea comes to me and I think it's something I could do in the future, the first thing I do is purchase the domain name and get the social media sites locked in as well as the Gmail account.

The best ones were already taken (for example: ThousandOaksRealEstate.com or ThousandOaksRealtor.com) and when I googled the phrase "Thousand Oaks Real Estate" or "Thousand Oaks Realtor" these pages didn't even make the first three pages of results! Decided it wasn't worth the investment.
