I've notice this about many agents. You have to be an investigator to figure out what their market area is.
My service has no geographic borders, so I make a point not to promote an area.
Michael - not only do you have to scroll down, but sometimes it's not there at all! I wrote a featured post about this a while back and have been thinking I should repost it.
Everyone should have their location on their blog post right under their photo. People get confused because the info is on their bio page - but it doesn't automatically transfer over to the blog page. Everybody should be checking this - if someone lands on your blog, they won't know where you're from!
Cocoa Beach, FL
Yes, google picks up on it. You have to be careful though that you don't add so much nonsense that people can't tell where you are from.

Good question! I'll press "post" and we'll see!
Tony and Suzanne Marri...
Michael, I think I've done it in every way possible to associate where we work with our AR comments and posts. We even include a map of our service area in the our signature block to make it as apparent as possible that we serve the Cincinnati/Dayton corridor.

Absolutely ! I am proud of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. Not only that but it is part of the bank required disclaimer at the bottom of every posting I do.

yes ... We have many who do not even have a name. Just Utah state.....
Yes, I do. And, I agree with you as with some, I have no idea where they are or even what they do.
I am proud of Tacoma Washington thus!
Many bloggers do not have an address or location in their blog signature. It makes you wonder.
I do have mine location, and I understand your frustration with this.
Yes, my office address in in my signature panel.
yep I do. A map sounds like a good idea, too
yes, I do.... full address and photo, too!!!
No I do not.
I had to check. No. I don't and should probably change that.
I do need to add a geographical location in my signature block. I plan to update my signature block soon.
It is amazing how many write posts, with only the City, and have NO IDEA where they are from.
Michael - You make a very good point here. People need to know where we do our business.
yes i had an html one created on fiverr
Yes I do! Location, along with: pictures, logos, phone, web links, social links, brokerage information, and an info snippet (which will change to be suitable for generic-public-viewing once I have a rainmaker account).
I service most of Eastern PA. With my niche, it is hard to service a small area.
I do wonder why some people want to be so secretive about their location!
Michael J. Perry - I do have - Andover Luxury Homes....
I do not but I really should
Yes I have where I work and that I sell real estate too. I too have noticed some don't have their business identified or their area. That is puzzling.
I do. I think it's important for people who know where I am.
I believe so, now how I have to check!
Yes, I recently started adding it but not sure if it could be automated to add every time.
I don't understand why some people don't.
Yes it is, but you still need to scroll to the bottom of each blog to read it.
I preferred the old format when this was shown on the right side of the blog too.
I have a detailed blog signature that includes my location and contact info.
I fairly recently put it in my name field at the suggestion of another AR member. I try not to limit myself to one area, but I do have my closest area to me (the one I live in) in my name field.
Yes I do, thanks for asking!
Yes, my geographical location is in my signature and in my profile.
very interesting and good thing to pass along to folks here in the rain!
Yes, I have noticed that too!
Emails with the social media links and all the contacts are crucial. Otherwise why both putting the effort into your marketing if you make it a mystery which market and how to track you down? Buyers, sellers don't have time for being teased, delayed.
Yes, very important.
What is even more important to me is company affiliation notice. SO many and usually from the same company seem to intentionally avoid this simple act of courtesy. No open notice, no blog comments!
Good point, Michael J. Perry!
Michael, I agree with you - often there is no reference anywhere on an obvious page to any geography. I even thought of suggesting to make it mandatory as part of one's signature, somewhere.
Yes, I do. It's very clear from the name of my blog where I am, as well. Drives me nuts when I can't easily place somebody.
