2 boards, 2 states. The contracts are remarkable different, but basically state the same terms.

One in New Mexico is enough for me.

I am a member of one Board and one MLS. I decided not to work in Kentucky many years ago.

Only one local board. REBNY (Real Estate Board of NY)  REBNY is not affiliated with any state or national association. REBNY broke away from NAR many years ago. We have an RLS (REBNY Listing System) It's like an MLS. Members share listings electronically but there is no central data base. Brokers either maintain their own proprietary data/listing system or use a third party system.

I belong to one board; however our mls service covers several boards so I have access to all listings in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.  Only work in one state.

I am currently only licensed in Virginia, but have had licenses in two states without it being a problem. I belong to two different MLS's and using the MLS software for each can be a challenge.

I'm licensed in DC, Maryland and Virginia and have a single MLS, Sentrilock, and one main Board membership.  It's a lot of continuing ed, though!

Only one MLS in Indiana

I'm licensed in one state and belong to one board. My local MLS covers a wide portion of the state. That means I have a lot of property data available to me.

I am licensed in California, Tennessee and Florida. Challenges are in closings, agency and keeping informed as to changes in the systems. I am in Florida now and refer business in Tennesee and California, unless it is a client I have worked with for a long time.

1 board but friends with lots of them in our state.

One board, one MLS, one state.  No need to belong to multiple anymore.  I the olden days you had to belong to 6 or 8 different ones out here to do business.  Now with data sharing across the state, those days are long gone.

I work in one state, belong to two different MLS systems, regular member of one board and an associate in another.

Keeping up with the CE requirements is one of the challenges of being licensed in more than one state.

Four, national and just one state but multiple associations here.

I am currently on one Board, Association and MLS.  Our home/office is less than a mile from the border of Illinois (we are in Wisconsin) however, the laws are so different that I've chosen to concentrate on my own state of record.  The biggest challenges are the differences in State Law .. I would never want to be in a position where I might accidentally use "wrong knowledge" with a client that could put all of us in a bad situation.  Just my thought.

I am licensed in 2 states, belong to 2 boaards and MLS's.  Luckily Minnesota and Wisconsin are somewhat similar so the challenge is remembering more of the details of each state.  I prefer Wisconsin - fewer forms.  I met a woman in my Minnesota broker class that was licensed in over 30 states.  I would think she would be spending all her time doing continuing education for all of them.
