I dont know the silver bullet John, lots of ways to do some of these things, but sometimes when you make that phone ring too easily it leads to a lot of wasted time with unqualified people, thus actually cutting into the money end of things.

I'm laughing about this, John Meussner ... as you're absolutely 110% right on vacations giving birth to volume.  Just try to get out of town!  

Beyond that, I say business itself breeds more business.  Get busy ... and you typically stay that way for lengthy periods of time.  Kindof like Newton's law of inertia ... only business-style ...

Well I have to agree -- Plan a Vacation seems to do it every time -- but another thing that seems to work is Answer the phone when it rings and follow up with the leads that have been waiting for a call back.  We all have past and current clients -- a quick phone call can get the ball rolling.

Is this a trick question?

I find one great way (once you're established) is to refer business to other complementary partners.  Often, they reciprocate.  Or, I suppose call some of best partners. 

Also, maybe call past customers.

Or is the answer, nothing?  There is no sure fire way.
