I type up a market report and mail it out with real stamps, colorful ones in fact.  More likely to get opened if it is an actual stamp.

I have different kinds of post cards that I send out.  I send postcards like Barbara Todaro (she is the best at it...) and when we get a reference letter I send those out to the agents SOI.  When a home sells in a neighborhood one of the agents wants to work in we send out a just sold and CMA invitation.

I am sending out postcards with a range of information - sales, insurance tips, maintenance tips, etc. Right now my schedule is 6X/year. I use EDDM (Every Day Direct Mail) through the US post office to about 1150 homes

My farm is a niche market. I sent letters with hand addressed envelopes and real stamps.  The letter sends them to my website as well. More bang for the buck ... my site gets the hits and sometimes I get the call.

Good question Donna and good answers. Postcards work very well and are relatively affordable. I haven't done door hangers but a builder I know did 500 of them and didn't get any leads. If you send newsletters or anything in an envelope, do what Chris Ann does above. Use a preety stamp on them. I also like to use a different shape envelope than the #10 business size.
