I think kids are getting a bad rap! I find most to be polite, active & positive. I guess it depends where you live!
PS You're really talking about two different age brackets. How many teenagers play on a swing set, before or after the creation of cell phones?

I do not see a connection to anything with this question - most certainly not real estate.

To have a swing set at one point was considered a very big deal.....sad

the sad thing is that people are letting one year olds play with games on cell phones

These aren't children that play on swing sets. Smaller children use their imagination and play on swing sets.
My daughter allows a limited time on electronics .. otherwise even younger children would be walking around like this. :-(

Jack Lewitz - very well said!

I agree with Susan Emo ..these are 2 different entirely age groups. The young adults in the photos certainly would hold no interest in a swing set. My 2 grand kids 2 and 4 love them!!

I don't have children, and if I did they wouldn't have a phone they could walk around texting on - I can assure you of that

When the Power Grid fails, this generation will be walking around like Zombies, not knowing what to do.

Children should play outside more but are given tablets and phone very early (I see babies barely able to sit up playing with a phone) so what are we to expect? The parents are training them.

Those are older children. When they are little, they have all those playdates and having a tree house, a pool, or any play space is very beneficial.

Because if you're me, you won't let your kid have a phone or tablet until they're driving!

I'm with Susan Emo. These kids are way to big to be on a swing set. I have some adults in my family that hardly ever look up from their phone.

I don't think that kids play the same way they used to. Minimally they are walking & working their fingers.

That is why you keep phones from youn kids so they can grow, learn and enjoy the world, not bury their head in their phone

Sometimes we need a distraction from technology and some physical exercise as well!

Since brains are permanently attached to our bodies why can't we maintain the two pieces to the best of their abilities. Sounds simple, eh!

I have been in many parts of my trading area this summer and only some areas look like the picture with large gatherings of Pokemon players. Other areas have virtually no one playing and almost no one even is looking at a cell phone!

I haven't a clue... kids do play outdoors and on their swing sets. I see it all the time. Then again, the average age of a swing set user might be one much less than that of the kids in the picture.
