We tried them, but for us; it is not about the cost as much as user experience. We wrote our own site with much better results.

I tried it for a few months, but in the end decided that you just get what you pay for and that you don't get very much for $10 a month (which is what I was paying). I dropped it and went another direction.

I am a little shocked by this. We just lost a great client who decided they wanted to use Placester. I was under the impression they had a nice product.
Have you contacted their tech support? I was in touch with them 2-3 years ago about some things and they seemed like great people. I am sure they will do what they can to take care of you.

I just tried to start the free website, I had to close the site because it would not allow me to log out. It took too long to even get started.

I don't have any advice for you. I'm not familar with this company.
I would get tired real fast if I pay for something that doesn't work right

Lyn Sims I wanted to let you (and everyone else) know that I used and referenced this thread when I wrote my recent (and detailed) user and pricing review for Placster. I decided not to link to this thread instead opting to link to review platforms. I did a ton of research and ended up writing a kind of company expose with some facts that didn't make it into my company blog here on Active Rain. This won't be comforting, but my research indicated that most realtors have an experience they are happy with. The ones that DO need to contact customer service have challenges. If anyone is still looking to gather the information I also published a video looking at the back end of Placester. To my knowledge, it is the only one of it's kind. You can find that in the University section of my website.
They have been one of my suppliers for my team and I for the last 2 years. I find them to be great to deal with. Of course, we have had a few issues here and there, but we had no issues with the IDX system. Feel free to call me Lyn if I can help any.

No help here Lyn Sims - I do not use Placester. I sure hope you get it resolved. I don't like paying for things that don't work or for crappy service.
Sounds like it's time to move on - in 10 years, I've had no issues that were not solved with urgency from my web company

Real Estate Webmasters does my site, and the IDX is working well.
They email every day soliciting, should they focus on their clients retention? I appreciate you sharing this information. Keep us posted.
