I have received some odd texts recently.   Not much surprises me.

I am not sure it is new ... however I get spam text as well. I respond with STOP THE SPAMMING TEXTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I am getting a few of those too and don't like them. So far it is not a huge problem but as the word gets out this will increase.

I bet a few from time to time - just got one today. I ignore them all unless they keep doing it then I ask them to removed me from their list.

I have been getting them too, i do my best to then block them but some just change their numbers

I get a few and am able to block them on my iphones.

Yes and just delete them, never open them.

Thankfully, I have not received many. However, I have never advertised my cell phone number. When you advertise your number, you invite spam.

It's not new.  But, it was and is still annoying.

I get 2 or 3 a week sometimes, and just delete them.

No but I've noticed in my newest VM upgrade on my phone it has block phone #'s & block texts so I've been doing both.

I usually block them immediately ( via iphone), so it does not bother me much. 

I rarely get such messages.  This form of marketing has been around for a long time.

I get these when I adverise on CL, doubt that it will spread much though since these are easy to block.
