Years ago, one agent used to come in occasionally with 2 of his show dogs, but he lived within walking distance of the office, so he typically wasn't in the office terribly long. I wish more dogs were in the office!

Free license to be as crazy as you want to be.
Remember 'these people' have shut down Barnum and Bailey (going out of business end of January) and will put Sea World out of business.
One of these people rescues RODENTS! Yes, she brings them into the office. Her business image has two rodent's worn as a leis
Then, there is the one who socializes service dogs. Always fun during the monthly birthday recognitions where wings and pizza are the main course.
The, let us not overlook the six dogs rescued from a South Korea dog farm and flown into Tampa this past week. Meanwhile, citizens of Tampa are arrested for providing food for hungry human beings.
Being improperly empathetic results in illogical thinking and faulty decisions.

Here in CA, most offices and stores are quite tolerant about pets, but they better be trained.

I have no idea... I don't walk into my brokerage office much more than twice a month on average and then I'm in and out in about 5 minutes. 95% of our agents work from home offices... so I don't believe this is an issue.

They can, but don't usually. When a couple agents did, it wasn't related to real estate business.

I used to have "OC" (Office Cat) who got to roam the bull pen, but not allowed in the conference room. The best ice breaker there was...never a single complaint.
I let agents bring their dog in and out if they were picking up something, but pets were not allowed to stay.
I did have a client come to closing with her 3 trained dogs. I have also babysat occcasional pets for clients including a snake. Its either that or they have to leave the pet in the car...not an option in Florida.

Yes & no. I would depend on the behavior of the pet. Dogs are ok until they start barking. There are also too many people that are just afraid of them.
Our board has satellite meetings on important legal issues & the last time I was at one there was an agent with her 'pocket purse pooch' which had been there for an hour before I noticed it. I thought that was a little tacky.

Many of them do here, not sure about my own. I have always wondered how it is decided though since so many are allergic to pet hair? Lucky for me, my allergies are controlled, as I do love to have doggies about.

My town is very dog friendly, but outside an occassional need due to an upcoming vet or grooming visit, pets are not welcome. There are people with pet phobias and allergies and their wishes need to be recognized. Plus, this is a professional office.

I am an animal lover, but WHY would I subject my pet to the office? I can't imagine subjecting non-animal lovers or those that are fearful or allergic to sitting in an office that would allow this.
716,659
My office does not, but I bring her in anyways when I'm in and out quickly, just for for kicks and giggles. It makes everyone happy - so it seems. No complaints for now.

Hi Paul - We frequently bring our dogs in and encourage our agent to do so as well. They're well-behaved and no trouble, although Mary always gets busy afterward removing any pet hair. The cat stays home.

I don't see many dogs here in Honolulu until I get further out of town. Now in Carmel-by-the-Sea, there are LOTS of dogs everywhere and they are called "working dogs". They sit in windows and are overjoyed when someone comes in.
